7th & 8th GRADE FAITH FORMATION
7th & 8th Grade Color Run Kick-off!
Our 7th and 8th Graders use the Spirit of Truth curriculum and will be studying Sacred Scripture. Students spend this year immersed in God's Word in the Sacred Scriptures, and explore how the Bible communicates God's plan of salvation to us.
Next year they will be covering Spirit of Truth, Communion of the Faithful. Students will learn personal growth: our vocation to love and our responsibilities to God and each other;
Morality: conscience formation through prayer and God's gift of an objective moral standard; and
In addition to the curriculum from Spirit of Truth the students will enjoy fellowship on the last Wednesday of the month, do service projects, learn the Mysteries of the Rosary, the basic prayer process and lessons from Rooted by Ruah Woods. Rooted, will help students explore scripture, Pope Saint John Paul II’s teaching on Theology of the Body, and their own dignity. Through Rooted, your students will be able to understand what it means to be made in God’s image, begin to see themselves and others as gifts, and grow their own roots and wings in God’s perfect plan.
Saint John’s 7th and 8th grade Faith Formation classes meet every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm-8:30pm from September through May. Our 7th and 8th grade teens meet in gender-specific small groups with two small group leaders.
